Training Needs Analysis
Needs Analysis
Understanding your team’s training needs goes far beyond assumptions or a superficial analysis of reports and performance indicators.
At ReFrame, the individual is at the center of the diagnostic process. We start by identifying what the target audience is expected to do, or stop doing, in order to achieve the desired results. In other words, we focus on the actual objectives of the initiative.
From there, we map the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required to achieve those results and then examine the learner’s experience. This allows us to define the knowledge building blocks required for the training and development initiative.
When diagnosing a need, we consider the broader context, including culture, financial, technological, and human resources, as well as factors beyond training that may positively or negatively influence the instructional intervention.
The first question we ask is: Will training actually solve the problem?
